[Slash fanart] Gillington, rated NC-17 to be on the safe side...

I guess it's about time I make good on that whole "slash fanartist" thing... After all, so far you only got shy Navyboys and a bit of teasing ( Read more... )

Delicious. That, combined with your lovely style makes it very.. entrancing, as it were. ;D Those curtains don't really cover all that much though, one can still see whats happening behind... although, with taht said, I certainly wouldn't mind a look beyond. xD

I'm a great believer in 'less is more' when referring to eroticism - that's part of the whole appeal for me of the navy boys. So naturally, I love that you added the curtains - I probably love it more with the curtains than I would without, because for me it's the idea that's important, not the reality.

In terms of rating, I'd probably go for an "R" (I believe that's relatively equivalent to the UK "15" rating?) - it's obvious what they're up to, but there's still a fair bit left up to the imagination, and if you wished to interpret it in a more innocent fashion (naked nuzzling / kissing etc.) then you can.

Hope that makes sense, and is a bit more useful than my usual simple "squee!" comments ;-)

I'm with tiggothy about R being ideal for this. After all, as Library of Moria puts it for fiction: "R. This is a good rating for fic in which there are full sex scenes, but they're not explicitly detailed." Which pretty much fits the above, if you ask me! I suspect it's a fairly upper-end sort of R - I've seen things with full rear nudity but no sexual connotations described as R too - and presumably it depends on what the audience is used to as well.

What I am sure of is that it's extremely yummy and the curtain effect is very classy and pretty. I agree that the leaving something to the imagination is rather more erotic in many ways than just showing all - though I'd be curious to see them unveiled in all their glory too!

Okay, I definitely have to look into ratings again and try to figure out how to apply it to my art. :)
Thanks for pointing out the LoM - I think I can work with that system pretty easily.

Glad you like it! :D

p.s.: I've edited the post to add a link to the version without the curtains, and I've also added two detail shots for erestor!

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who likes the "teasing the mind" sexiness...
I guess I'll have to look into ratings again and figure out how to make it work for my art ~ I've always rated the pictures rather a bit higher to be safe, but I think "R" would be alright. :)

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions - it really helps me make sharing my art better!

Oh, and I've uploaded links to the unveiled version and some detail shots of the pic, in case you're interested...

So far so good with the new graft. Week 2 is in process, and it's still trussed up in a boot. Upwrapping is Wednesday. Thanks for asking, sweetie.
*hugs*

Wow. That is GORGEOUS. *in awe :O*

As for your questions:
A.) I say PG-13 or R is suitable enough.
B.) YES >:D

Thank you! Glad you like it.
And I've edited the post to include detail shots of the drawing, if you want to have a look.

However, I would ask you to choose your icon more carefully in the future when replying to posts. I have no doubt that you think that little fox in your icon is cute, and the colours go well together ~ BUT: I cannot simply ignore that this cute little fox is wearing a Nazi uniform and salutes in front of a flag with a swastika that can also be seen on his brassard.
You probably simply cropped this from a Japanese manga ~ a friend pointed out to me that some people still have an (unhealthy) fascination with Nazi uniforms and symbols. I don't know why, or how people can still tolerate looking at this stuff after everything Hitler did. But I know that it greatly upsets me, and here in Germany it is in fact illegal and punishable to show it outside history lessons at school and Hindu religion.

If I ever find anything like that in my LJ again, I will delete it without second thoughts.

Thanks for the essay, but a few things:

1.) I didn't make that image. It's a rather popular image circulated on chan boards, meant as a joke.
2.) I am not a Nazi, or a racist, or even a bigot--what I do possess, however, is a sense of humor. Obscure, yes, a little offensive, yes, but what isn't nowadays? I bet the picture you drew would be offensive to many (including the actors), but instead I praised it. If you think a picture of Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog doing the Sieg Heil is supposed to be serious... that's pretty bad.

Anyways, I respect your opinion, so I won't show it here anymore.

*peeks beyond the curtains* *because I'm a pervert like that, implied loving is one thing but yes I am in the minority of slash fangirls who enjoys the ultra explicit*

But this is gooorgeous as always.

I'm afraid I'll always be more of a "implied sexiness" artist... but I've uploaded some links to the un-curtained version and two detail shots.
And you never know what might happen to make my muses horny... ;)

Thank you for the compliment!
