I really love this one that you chose to post. He's very talented. When I look at his work, I can't help wondering what his inspiration was for each peice. Some are very dark. Some a bit disturbing. But that's good! His art stirs emotional reactions, which is the point (I think). The colors are great. Some of these paintings I could easily imagine as perfect covers for Pink Floyd albums. :-)

The one I posted is my favorite painting of his. To see it up close in person is really truly.. an amazing thing. The color, the detail... It struck me and I had to sit down in front of it for like an hour. It made me cry.

Aunt Deb and Leon printed me a copy on canvas paper and framed it for me. I wish I could afford the real one lol

OH and I forgot to tell you... lol

That guy is actually a recognized composer. I believe he has done stuff thats in movies... he chose to live on the streets in new york... I think thats how the story goes.. lol Uncle Tom alwyas wants to paint in their cats so that cat is a portrait of their pet.

hahahahhaa...

actually.. lol They live on this old farm in Pottersville. Theres a mansion at the top of the hill. They have rented out the slaves quarters for like the last 20 or 30 years. Its a beautiful little house that over looks a natural spring pond... So yes.. .its kind of like a cabin ::giggles:
