This race had everything, great overtaking, dramatic crashes and retirements and drivers coming from the back of the field to the front. We need rain in F1 more often. I'm so happy Jenson won, he deserved, coming from so far. Alonso drove a great race too. He has a bit an attitude the last few months, and I was so happy when I got a penalty (al those waiving to other cars when they're still miles off should be stop), but he won some respect back after a great move on Michael (I also was happy he got the penalty). And a BMW on the podium was great as well, Nick is a sweetie and made a great move, like Pedro on Michael.

I'm still celebrating, this was the best race in years!

Yes, definitely one the best race I've seen, despite Alonso and Kimi not finishing. Alonso had an attitude problem, really? I thought his after-the-race quote was among the best. He was one of the few who actually congratulated Button. His move on Michael was delicious. Actually, any move on Michael is delicious, so I thoroughly enjoyed when Button, Fisi, de la Rosa, AND Heidfeld did it. Particularly LOVED Nick's quote, "He [MSC] ran into the back of me and destroyed his suspension." Nyah, Michael, you self-destructed.

Woot, yeah, great race. *celebrates with you*

Yeah, I loved Nicks move the most  . But Kubica just got disqualified so Michael moves now up to 8th position, which gives him a point and reduces the gap to 10 points. So if Michael wins the final 5, and Alonso finishes 2nd all those races, they have equal points! Actually I don't mind whom of them wins, I'd rather see Jenson, Kimi or Nick taking the wins, unfortunaley their cars aren't always that good (expect today of course ;))

* ends celebration party and is now off to bed *

DamnDamnDamnDamnDamn! I was already in bed and missed that bit about Kubica. What happened? *is off to find out*

Okay, one point is better than 8 points, so it's still okay. But, man, the ferrari-renault gap is now only 7, EEK!. Apart from Alonso, I'd like to see Kimi win the best (why last year was particularly fun). Unfortunately, he and McLaren just ain't a match. This is why I hope he moves to Renault next year. I think he'll look good in blue :).

Your F1 posts always make me want to check it out. I was born and raised a NASCAR girl.

Ooh, you should. Supposedly F1 is the most elite motorsport out there ;), but don't take my word for it. It can be boring at times especially when Michael bloody Schumacher wins, but sometimes it's just blow-your-mind entertaining. Like the one that just happened. Rain completely took the race to the next level.

I love your icon. It's hard getting into another motor sport when Nascar is on practically every weekend. Hey, are you into fan vids at all? Cause there is this one Lex/Lana one that I just love.

Fan vids? Yeah, some of them. There are so many of them and only few are well-made so I don't generally go around looking for them, but you got a good Lex/Lana one, you say? Well, bring it on :).

Nice icon btw. Love the color. Is that the Everwood kids? Can't really make out if that's Ephram.
