How did I not get Kiss Kiss Bang Bang???

You sound like me and NASCAR. I'm so over all the first 26 races meaning nothing and The Chase, and all the crap. They asked JPM today if he knew what today was and they had to tell him it was the start of F1. Then they asked him if he was going to watch and he says "Hell no!". LOL. I hope Alonso kicks some ass and Kimi too! :)

Yeah... There's just less motivation in watching when I feel like Wonder!Boy's victory is somewhat inevitable this year... Ahhh well, I guess we'll just have to see. I love this sport too much to abandon it. On that note, didja get a chance to see the Melbourne race?

When you say the first 26 races meaning nothing, are you talking about how they level the points off at the start of the Chase? I seriously don't get why they keep that up. It's just so... unfair. It kinda leaves it all to luck too much in some way (the driver luckiest to score the most points in the Chase races, as opposed to consistency or overall performance in the year).

I'm happy that JPM seems to have settled in in NASCAR :).

I didn't watch it, but I did read a recap and it sounds like I missed a crazy race. I was happy to see that Alonso pulled off such a great finish.

Yeah, it's just silly. The first 26 races are like test sessions and some of the guys are realizing that and using it as such. There is no reward for going out there and running in the top ten every week. What's the point when you only have to be in the Top 12 after 26 races? It's amusing watching the media try to act like you can read a ton out of the first few races though.

I couldn't believe the carnage in this year's Melbourne race. I mean, we always know Australia tends to be crazy, thanks to the unpredictable weather and narrow 'street' track, but coupled with the lack of traction control this year, there were way too many twists and turns. I'm so proud of Alonso. He did a lot better than he thought and was thrilled :).

Yeah, that makes sense. But wouldn't there be fights and scrappings to make it to the top 12 though? I mean, there are 40-something guys out there and only 12 can make it to the Chase.

Hang on.

You know, that sounds familiar. American Idol and its top 12, heh. What is this obsession with top 12s?
