Sunless Days, Sydney, Canberra, Cities, & Harry Potter Survey

Jul 05, 2007 16:33

Wouldn't it bum you out if EVERYDAY the sun doesn't shine? Well it's pretty much like that here in Melbourne. We probably got a total of one hour of sunshine in the past week :(. I've been feeling very sluggish, and not simply because I'm recovering from a cold, which I've successfully passed on to every member of my family by the way. Actually, ( Read more... )

Ick! That sucks about the crappy weather. It's been raining here for like a week straight with heavy thunderstorms on and off and it's been super humid. I'm a fall girl too. I hate the summers here because it rains too much and I hate the humidity.

That Harry Potter meme is awesome. I'll have to do it later.

Hmmm, probably also Prisoner of Azkaban for the script and the (mis)characterization of Hermione.
Never fails to annoy me.

Hmmm... I get the impression that it's been raining EVERYWHERE in the world, which is just so odd and very global-warming-y. I heard about floods that happened in the UK and, actually, during the road trip, we did passed so many areas that were flooded (not too badly, but considering Australia tends to have a drought problem...).

Yay, you gotta do it. I want to see your answers :D!

Yeah, the weather here has been pretty crappy too the last week... and my sister just came back from Paris and it was the same thing over there too... :(

Yay! Harry Potter survey! I really like your answers! *facepalms* I can't believe I forgot Lupin for my favorite teacher. I mean, he IS my favorite teacher, but since he was teacher in only one book, I didn't think of him... :(

And you really like Ron, don't you? :D I love him too. He's just amazing! :D

Hmmm... The weather's been terrible in so many places in the world, regardless of the difference in seasons. How very odd and slightly worrying... Global warming, huh ( ... )

Whoa! Cool Harry Potter survey-- I think I might have to do that. :D

BTW-- I think if you get a chance you should go back and visit. From what I remember of Canberra, It was really quite lovely. I remember lots of trees and a huge beautiful lake that was awesome. And Telstra tower was fun. Hehe, and the American embassy IS huge and protected--we got invited there once (even though we were Canucks) for some Christmas celebration. It has a huge pool.

Hey, you know, JUST the other day I was wondering where you've been and whether you still do LJ :D. Good to see you!

Yeah, go do the Harry Potter survey! I wanna see your answers!

We definitely picked, like, the worst possible day to visit Canberra. It couldn't have been any colder and wetter, and I couldn't have been sicker and groggier. If I were to come back, it'd definitely have to be in the warmer weather.

Btw, how nice of the Yanks, inviting all you 'Canucks' (hee!) over for Christmas! I didn't see the Canadian embassy around there though...

I don't actually remember where it was... In fact, the Canadian embassy was probably just an igloo that was strategically placed in a cold room at the back of the American embassy. Haha.

Feel sorry for us in England... its our SUMMER and yet its raining raining raining. Actually, I lie, there's a bit of sun going down now, yet I'm still in bed!

I've just come back from a week on a remote Scottish island... and in June they had 4.5mm of rain... THAT'S IT. Yet we must have had 10, 100 times that!

It would definitely bum me out. It makes me feel lazy and sad. It's a good weather to just lounge at home and stay in bed though, too bad I have work. :P

Cool survey. I'll definitely do it later. :)
