So we moved into a rental house in Dayton, Ohio in August, and T. promised me that this time we would decorate as if we will be living here for a long time. Ugh, I hated curtain shopping. We kept looking at stuff at a couple of different stores and it was like "Are these all the options? I hate all of these. I could maybe kind of sort of live with that one if I had to, but really I hate it. Where are all the ones that aren't ugly?" Then we went to Target and found a bunch that we liked and so ended up getting 2 sets from there. Moral of the story: if you hate all the options, keep looking.

I am mostly just miffed that curtains I find attractive are pricey. Even went to fabric store to see about making my own and apparently curtain-type fabric is just expensive.

I am the sort of person who spent *years* (over two) with a table I hated because I couldn't find one that I really liked. I wanted something nicer than Ikea, but small enough for our apartment (preferably with a leaf).

Anywho, you have my sympathies. Any house decorating beyond hanging pictures is a pain.
