No fanfare, no fireworks. Just a quiet realization that past is past, after all. It was surprisingly easy to fall back to being friends with Tezuka. We looked at his pictures together and talked about nothing in particular for hours and it was comfortable, just like it was back in junior high. After seven years, I finally feel at ease, at peace around him. And it's...it's wonderful.
I tried to prod about Atobe, but Tezuka seemed utterly oblivious about that one. No surprises there. As bright as he is, Tezuka has never been good at picking up on other people's feelings for him. *wry* If Jirou is right about Atobe still holding a candle for him, I feel sorry for Atobe. At least now, I know I can wish them well and mean it.
Que sera sera -- the cruise is still fun, and tomorrow will be a wonderful day. It's good to feel optimistic again. ]
