uncanny x-force #28

Is anyone else reading this (in my opinion at least) great series? Especially considering this month's jaunt 30 years into the future...

I was all giddy when I saw Cable, Wade & Hope working as a hope. But then we saw too little of them :(

It was a merciless tease, wasn't it? Sigh. I'm crossing my fingers for a little more though.

!!!!

I'm a couple of months behind on X-Force right now. Off to track down some comics ASAP.

Enjoy! :)

I still think Remender's take on the character is superior to the current self-titled run, (which apparantly makes me some kind of hipster, according to certain message boards. I can't even begin to figure that one out.) and it looks like things are about to get seriously interesting very soon.

Pff, I don't know what you mean by 'still think', that is a statement of pure unadulterated fact! Remender's Deadpool was the first thing in a while that gave me hope that anyone at Marvel still knew how to write the Wade I loved.

Myself, I stay off the forums and stick to checking Deadpool Bugle for news once in a while. It's unusual I come away from reading the comments on any comics article feeling reassured as to the state of fandom, but you'll find a lot of commenters there who aren't at all fond of Way.

BTW, you mentioned something about Cable getting referred to in a recent issue of Deadpool? Do you have any scans/details you could share on that? I'm curious, but not quite curious enough to actually pick up the issue.

Yeah, I'm pretty much staying away from the forums now - I've (just about) leared my lesson.

Sorry, I don't have any scans of Way's most recent issue, but I'm enough of a anal-retentive nerd to share the dialogue. It's really only a very casual reference, I'm afraid. Essentially: Black Box wants Wade's head on a stick (Why? Becuase. The same reason Black Swan got suddenly un-taxidermied.), so cue:

Yellow thought box: Hang on. didn't Black Box an' Cable, like, make up and become BFF's or something?
Wade: Ah ha! Yes! I'll just ask Cable to fix it!
[next panel]
Wade: ...A coma. Greeeat.

And that's literally it. Well at least he remembered Nate still exists. :)

Huzzah - so glad to see another fan! Any chance of a link to your meta post? This comm (okay, so maybe me too) could always do with more thinky content. :)

Ditto! (although I think I've basically reached the stage where I'm scouring the metaphorical floor for bedcrumbs and am clutching on to each one I find.)
