Martin has a boyfriend. That is, he considers the man his boyfriend. The man cosiders Martin his cheap fucktoy. Martin realises that the situation is not exactly ideal - the sex is uncomfortable if not downright painful, he gets mocked and called all sorts of names - but at least someone is interested in him. At least he doesn't have to be alone all the time. It's not like anyone else would want him.

The crew find out about this and make sure that the evil!boyfriend gets what he deserves. And then Martin meets a charming young man who loves to listen to him talking about flying and who makes sweet sweet love to him and shows him what a proper relationship is like.

This prompt is perfection!!! (especially the Martin meets a charming young man-part! *is sucker for h/c and TLC*) - and therefore:

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback! A short chapter coming up now :) I want to look more at Martin's relationship with Pete in the next one, but that might take a little while - it's not proving easy to write. Hopefully that will be up by the end of the week...

It's not a conventional relationship, Martin will admit that much. They don't go on dates. They don't do much together, really; Pete will text Martin, and Martin will go round. They'll have sex, and then Martin might stay the night, or he might leave and go home. But at least, he tells himself, someone finally, finally wants him.

He will never admit to the fact that he hadn't had sex before Pete; there hadn't been a chance, really. He had come out when he was eighteen, but had never been able to work up the courage to ask someone out, and no one had ever asked him. He understands why, of course; he is uptight, insecure and obsessive. He is short and skinny, with unruly hair in a startling shade of ginger, with weirdly slanting pale eyes sitting too far apart. He can quite well understand why no one had ever wanted him before ( ... )

Awww poor Martin! It's so heartbreaking, that he knows there's something wrong but thinks it's himself.

This Pete guy needs to back off and let Martin be happy for once, I really don't like him u_u But I fear it's too early for him to just disappear, poor Martin D:
