Yeah, I did feel pretty nerdy getting the Due South reference since I've never actually seen the show.

Just caught an old ep from the Vecchio years on some cable channel. Not that I missed it much whilst in England - every weekday night on channel 13, baby. Everyone asked me if I'd ever seen "that Mountie show".

"Det. Kowacchio" is obviously based in appearance on Vecchio rather than Kowalski (too bad)

Maybe after a couple of months a blonde Pole will show up claiming to be Kowacchio but will eventually be revealed to be "Det. Velski", who is impersonating Kowacchio while the real Kowacchio is undercover. You never know.
