I rock so hard.

I totally just won 100K influence in a costume contest with Andromeda Sparks, dude.

...Okay, so there were, like, four contestants. BUT I WON FIRST PLACE.

Ahem.

And I'm 30% of the way to level 18!

Isn't this the second time she's won a costume contest?

Yeah, but the prize was 10 times bigger this time. :D

Yes, you rock hard, all right.

Your Andromeda Sparks icon is also pretty nifty. (That's such a good name, too... I wish I had the knack of choosing good aliases. It's an undervalued talent.)

Aw, thanks. I came up with it pretty quickly, too--I was a little surprised myself. The "Andromeda" part, of course, was my first MUD character's name back in the day (~1992). The only problem is that your first character's name is your global chat handle by default (prefaced by an @ symbol), and "@Andromeda Sparks" is kind of cumbersome.

This is my other CoH icon so far. Obviously, it captures rather a different mood. :p

You can change your global chat ID but only once. Don't ask me how. I just remember reading that in the manual as I was waiting for the 9 GB patch to download after I installed the game.

Gratz! I think that the only time that I've gotten anything in a costume contest proper was 25K as a runner-up once. However, I did get about 40K once, during a costume contest, from the guy who was standing next to me, after we chatted for a bit--he was thirtysomething and was in it purely to win it rather than for the inf, which he already had plenty of--and once I got 60K from someone who was running a talent contest; I "sang" "You'll Never Walk Alone." He emailed me later for the lyrics.
