Black☆Star has a lot of qualities one shouldn't even possess when being a ninja. He's loud, annoying, and obnoxious. He has a very demanding aura and requires the attention of most people. As soon as he steps foot into a room he demands the audience of everyone in said room. He loves making his presence known. This, unfortunately ruins any type of advantage he might have had in battle. Black☆Star also thinks he's the best at anything and everything, he even considers himself to be number one. Because of this he's developed a superiority complex, and he strives to pass God. He gets mad when someone outshines him or steals his spotlight. He even passes out autographs.
Despite all this, Black☆Star worked hard to get where he is today. He's rather headstrong and relies on brute strength to get him out of sticky situations. He fights with honor and determination and is everything but a quitter.
Canon Background:
Black☆Star comes from the very prestigious Ninja Star clan. The clan was notoriously known to do anything for money. The clan was hated and feared all throughout the world. His father, White☆Star, became obsessed with power and eventually became a Kishin. The clan however, met their end by the DWMA. Due to being an infant at the time, Black☆Star was spared and was taken in by Sid. Fortunately, Black☆Star holds no grudge over the death of his family, he knew that they were in the wrong.
Later on, Black☆Star eventually enrolled into the Shibusen Academy and became a Meister. He wields Tsubaki Nakatsukasa as his weapon. He rarely leaves Tsubaki (and when he does it's either to hang out with Soul and attempt to wield him, or whenever Tsubaki tells him to hold back or to leave a battle) and will go to certain lengths of pain to help protect her in her time of need.
Black☆Star was well on his way to becoming a Kishin. He was hungry for power, just like his father. However, his multiple confrontations with Mifune changed this. Black☆Star was able to realize his own path, a different path from his fathers, and is now at peace with his soul.
Background (AU!Canon; HP):
dirty Black☆Star comes from a very prestigious line of purebloods. His family dealt with a lot of dark magic and would do anything for money. Black☆Star's father, White☆Star, would often times start up mudblood hate rallies with other purebloods who had shared his exact feelings on the matter.
In fact, it was rumored that White☆Star went as far as to kill a couple of muggles and mudbloods to exact his point. He was also high strung on power and was attempt a coup to over throw the Ministry. The Ministry of Magic thankfully found out and put an end to this before anything could happen. They set up a date to try them all before carting them off to Azkaban, unfortunately, before they could have been properly tried, an assassination took place before the trial. To this day the Ministry still doesn't know if this was planned or not.
Black☆Star was later adopted by a close family friend. His name was Sid, and fortunately he didn't share any hatred towards muggles or muggle born witches and wizards. As a child, Black☆Star was chastised for being apart of the Star clan. He often got into a lot of fights trying to defend his honor. He had learned why his family members were killed, and what they did prior their assassination from Sid. He knew what his family did was wrong, but that still didn't stop him from getting into fights. He hated the fact that everyone thought that he would end up like his father. Because of this, Black☆Star makes his own path, and strives to become an Auror.
Seeing as he's.... well Black☆Star he only really excels in classes that involve physical activity such as any flying classes. But he's also pretty good at Defense Against the Dark Arts and surprisingly enough Transfiguration. The rest is like talking about quantum physics. diana
How would your character fit in to each House?
Gryffindor: Values courage, bravery, loyalty, nerve and chivalry. Black☆Star would fit in extremely well with this house. He is very courageous, loyal, and brave. He hates quitting, and backing down. He'll also stick through thick and thin (despite whatever he might be going through) for a friend. And as Black☆Star ages throughout the series he becomes less egotistical and more gallant.
Hufflepuff: Values hard work, tolerance, loyalty and fair play. It depends on what Black☆Star is working on. If it's anything school related he won't put his all into it. Unless he was graded on athletic activity then he'd excel with flying colors.
Ravenclaw: Values intelligence, creativity, learning and wit. In canon Black☆Star prefers to train over studying. This is a house that would fit Kidd or Maka, but most definitely not Black☆Star. He once attempted to steal the answers to an exam. No Ravenclaw would do that, much less even think about it.
Slytherin: Values ambition, cunning, leadership, and resourcefulness. I can see Black☆Star working well in this house. With the background knowledge of his family and father White☆Star, he'd fit in perfectly. He has ambition to be the best that he can be. He also possesses leadership, but unlike every Slytherin, he knows when to back down. He isn't vulgar though, and possesses no desire to harm muggle borns.

Black☆Star quickly pressed his back against the wall. Just one more corner, he thought. One more bloody corner. He poked his head around to see what exactly the prefect was doing. He quirked an eyebrow. This was going to be hard. The prefect was standing right smack dab in the middle of the hallway. Feeling around he finally pulled out his wand. He readied himself as if he were going into war, and with that, he rounded the corner wand raised.
"Wiggulus Femurus!" He yelled. The prefect fell to the floor totally caught off guard by Black☆Star's spell. "I know, I'm awesome." Black☆Star said as he brushed the imaginary dust off of his shoulder.
He threw in another jelly-jinx curse for good measure and then ran into the classroom the prefect was guarding. He only had a matter of minutes to get the answers for his History of Magic exam.
"If I were answers to an exam where would I be?" Black☆Star asked as he examined the classroom. He paused and grinned. "The professor's office! Why didn't I think of that!?" Black☆Star said loudly as he rushed to the professor's office.
He practically tore the office apart trying to look for those answers. "Damn! Where are those papers?" Black☆Star asked. Before he could think of a new place to work he was quickly seized and turned upside down.
"Wa-ahh! Hey! Let me go!" Black☆Star flailed as he tried to break free.
"Why would I want to do that? Little fifth years should be in bed right now."
Oh crap, that was most definitely a Head Boy. "Fifty points from Gryffindor. For sneaking around after hours, jinxing a prefect, and ransacking an office to cheat on an exam."
Black☆Star sighed, he sure was going to get an earful out of Maka when she found out about the loss of house points.
