Thank you Will for explaining to these num-skulls about how track is, but let me lay down the law a little bit since they still probebly don't get it. If you all are wondering, my name is Matt Bremermann . . . and don't you forget it. Now I have been running for, hmmmm lets see, 6 YEARS and I am still keepin' it real. Now, I'm not saying I'm some Eric Giddings because, he is on his own planet, you don't mess with Eric. You kids may think that track may be "a girls sport" or "wussy and dumb, thats a piece of cake". Ok thats good that you think that, lets see you run a good three miles . . . maybe 5, or hey why not 8. Now thats only cross-country, then there is indoor and outdoor track, which are no as much as the same. People may think that track is easy, but hey, guess what? ITS NOT. Along with swimming as Will mentioned, these sport quite possibly are the toughest to keep up with. Alright, I'm not going to lie, I would think that swimming has to be more intense than track by far. But both are extremely difficult to work with if you

1. I agree with jamie...lol...swimming is so hard and im glad you realize that...diving is too : )
2. Tennis doesn't have officials either..and not to say that tennis is necessarily harder than track or track harder than tennis...im just comparing them. I think that every sport is difficult in its own way. Alll sports have needs for all different skills..and yes, most of them include running...but this does not make running any better.
3. Yes, track may well be the most successful sport right now..but that doesn't mean shit. Just because we happen to have some great runners who go to our school and who just happened to make the choice to participate in track does not mean that track is the best sport out there. I do think that track is hard though. Running is difficult...you really do have to know what you're doing with pacing yourself and making sure you build up your endurance.
love, Becky
p.s please excuse any spelling errors i may have made..i suck at spelling : )
