You too can sparkle like a star...susannahJanuary 21 2007, 09:24:36 UTC
Well Elizabeth Taylor was pretty radiant, and so's your mind y'know - and as for Nigella, sorry, but I've always found her personality a bit bland, so I think you're shinier than her :) Looks, well I like your icon, you look just fine and you. I think your mum knows what she's talking about, she probably inherited her intelligence from you :)

Liz was awesome. Not sure if I want to get married half as many times as she did, though. :P

She does make some decent double chocolate brownies, though. ;) One of the reasons I love her is because she's a gorgeous, vuluptuous woman who ain't afraid to show the world it's ok to love your food. Since there are far too many starlets out there who give out the message that eating like a sparrow is the key to looking sexy and desirable, then I don't consider Nigella's ethos to be a bad thing at all.

Haha, and here my mother used to call me "David face" because she thought I looked so much like my father, and I hated it cause I thought she was saying I look like a boy, but she meant it as a compliment since she always thought my father had distinguished features. lol
Heee, that's so cool! I think you do have very distinguished features. You have amazing eyes, if I'm allowed to say so. ;)
Don't kill me for saying this, but I find Jewish people to be incredibly attractive. :P
I look very much like my father as well. There is the most adorable photo of myself, my Dad and my little brother at my graduation, and it's pretty easy to tell we're related.
Well, that was just when I was a child. My face has change a lot. Now I don't look so much like he did, but more like a combo of my parents. (I always say I was adopted or switched at birth. :b) But thank you, it's nice to hear, of course you are. lol
I think we once spoke about that? I said how I find non-Jewish people very attractive and you said the opposite? And I think we agreed that it's always wanting what you don't actually have? Or maybe I dreamed it. ha
A-ha, I think I do remember that conversation! I think it involved me ranting about how I'm finding it mondo hard to find a Christian guy (since I'm not meant to date outside of my faith) who is interested in the same things as I am.
I'm attracted to the Bob Dylan's, the Jack White's, the Bono's, the Johnny Cash's, the Leonard Cohen's and the TS Eliot's of the world...the blokes who had/have a massive spiritual faith, but are/were still thinkers, artists, wordsmiths, not afraid to embrace their quirks and eccentricities, and also not afraid to be a little bit dark on the side. And...maybe it's just New Zealand men in general, but I can't say I've found too many of them within my church. ;)
I know what's really important: to find a man who loves God, is in love with life, and who is a kind, caring, giving person, and who will treat me like a princess. Whether or not he is dorky, quirky, artistic, or has the same taste in music as I do is really just a bonus, right?
But as I was talking about with imaginary_men earlier today, these are the

Mothers don't lie. We may see things a little differently than the rest of the world, but we don't lie. Your mother does see you as "hot."
I used to be so hard on myself when I was young, and now when I look back at photos of that time, I wonder what I complained about! I'm certain you are the same way.
Heh, I think I was just amused to hear her use the term "hot" cos it's not something she, as a woman of a certain age, uses a lot, since it's more of a young person's word. ;) The only times I've heard her use it are when she mocking me for my constant use of the term.

These days, I can list a good handful of my physical features that I like (eyes, hair, nose, shoulders etc.), whereas a few years back I could barely think of anything at all

Other way round, I think. :)
