Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

I was planning to say rather a lot in this post, but owing to the fact that it's just really freaking cold I might just be heading off to bed rather shortly. I'm thinking that switching the electric blankie on to 3, pulling the covers up to my chin, and snuggling up with either a few more Psalms, or the Alexander McCall Smith book that I've been ( Read more... )

work, relationships, emo-ness, birthday, career anxiety, reading

But I would walk 500 miles. And I would walk 500 more. Probably won't get that song out of my head anytime soon.

My first thought when I got up (to a powerless house) was "I wonder what it's going to be like tomorrow?" I'm sure by the time you read this we will all know the answer. As I didn't leave the house today I decided to watch a dvd (of course this was after we got power back). I watched Boondock Saints, which revolves around two Irish brothers, so I instantly thought "Hmm, I wonder if Erin has seen this?" Heh, now when I think Irish I think Erin.

By the way, I keep forgetting.

w00t!

No, I've not seen Boondock Saints, but I think I just might have to now! Ever seen Snatch? I've only ever seen little snippets of it, but Brad Pitt with an Irish accent...gotta say that's the only time I've ever felt any kind of sexual feelings towards him. :P

I own both Boondock Saints and Snatch. So you can borrow them if you want. It's weird, when they talk pikie(kinda like an English gypsy) I don't really have a hard time understanding it, same with Cockney rhyming slang. Maybe I watch to much British television.

Worth mor ethan $9.50? Greens want to raise minimum to $12... Sorry, no politicking now the elections over...

Sounds like you're having a lot of stuff focus around you. Hol on, it'll all calm down soon.

I'd come as 1280's, in rags and with PVA splattered all over so it looks like my skins peeling. I won 'most foul and disgusting wretch' when I dressed up like that for Shakespeare day at College.

Yeah, heard about that. Awesome-o, but really can't see it happening to be honest.

Man, boys suck. Really suck.
And work sucks.
Issues with household appliances suck.

I feel your pain.

I think the pleb job after getting your degree is something alot of people have to do, especially when it's not something like a medical or law degree or whatever. I know that doesnt make you feel better but at least it can offer some hope that you're not hopeless or whatever.

One of these days I will post about my romantic frustrations...don't worry, I'll be sure to put it under a cut, so no-one has to puke or bash their head against a wall if they don't want to. It'd be nice to chat about this IRL actually...

Don't worry, I'm feeling a heck of a lot less hopeless than I was over the weekend. I think I was just tired after so many shifts, and heading for burn-out.

I'm so over snow, eh? lol I lived in the UK for a year, so I had my fix of snow back then. :P

I like John Campbell. There's something about him...

Yes, that would be CH! The gowns are so much fun to start with, but after two years the novelty starts to wear off. I had an absolute blast at CH; you meet so many awesome people, and get some to so much crazy crap, it's brilliant! It has it's moments, of course, but I certainly don't regret the time I spent there. Bish is a lot more low-key from what I've heard, but most people I've spoken to that went there seemed to have fun.

I'm feeling a little better about work at the moment, but I'm still feeling the nudge to have another look around. "Seek, and you will find..."

The guy thing...yeah, still trying to trust God in that respect, blah blah blah...

So yeah, need lots of prayers, mainly for patience, and to be less cynical and negative about everything. And for a decent job at home over the summer.

*hugs back* Thanks, love...

I forgot what I was going to say. Oops. Oh yeah. Are you free any time over the weekend or are you all booked up?

No idea. When I'm not at Rosel's, I'll either be sleeping or with my family the whole time, so I'm really not sure. It won't be long 'til I see you anyway!
