Darkness was the first thing to reach out to him when he regained his soul in Romania. A darkness so deep that not even his undead eyes could see in it. He ran, those early decades, hoping that eventually he could outrun it, find his way back to the light he knew as a beloved older brother in Ireland or to the indifference he had known with Darla. But the darkness would not let up. And for the first time in his too long life, “curse” was no longer an abstract concept.

And now, in L.A., darkness was all around him but not so much in him, not like it was in the beginning. Out of the silvery stillness of a full moon night he heard a voice call his name and damn if it didn’t feel like in her mouth his name was a benediction and the salvation of all mankind.

I'm basing it off Fever by Peggy Lee tho with an OTP for each verse. It'd end up having Cordy/Angel, Castle/Beckett (Castle) Arthur/Gwen (Merlin) Chuck/Sarah (Chuck) & maaaaaayybe Booth/Bren (Bones). (Very ambitious considering I just got back into writing but Mel had an icon that got me thinking & then I heard the song today & suddenly knew how I could write it). Is that ok?
