It just means that Don, Daniel, et al can write scripts and get them produced in Canada because all the American crap won't be hogging the production time/facilities.

The Bionic Woman should recycle the scripts from the original show. It would be 100 times better than what they've been working with. I've only seen the one ep and I was amazed at how bad it was. It's awful.

Callum could become a professional golfer, I suppose, but he's a bit too old for that. So really, he needs to keep working just to pay his greens fees. *g*

Will (the other) half of LJ convert to band slash?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooo! Don't even think that! ;p

Will (the other) half of LJ convert to band slash?

Now, there's an interesting concept. Golf or bandslash, what's worse? *ponders*

Will Callum play golf all the time now? Will Bionic Woman actually get better if they just start to improvise instead of using a teleprompter scripts? Will (the other) half of LJ convert to band slash? So many questions.

Yes. Yes. And no. Since when did Due South fandom suffer from being closed canon?

Wow, I can't believe writers are protesting here in NZ too, that's so cool! I'll have to have a look at our news sites.

Yes. Yes. And no.

Yeah, I was afraid you would say that. I mean the first yes. *sigh* I agree about number two though. And you are totally right about number three. \c/

And I just noticed that you said "(the other) half of LJ", so I guess that doesn't include DS anyway? I'm real observant, me.

Hell to the No.

And I'm with woolly -- since when did any of us let a little thing like no new stuff stop us? We will make this shit up. It's better than the canon anyhow.

Hopefully, Callum will use the time when he's not perfecting his swing to get right with his Mac and post more pictures of himself on the interwebs. *nod* And also sign up for quirky Canadian things, if that's possible while he's still on contract for filming on stalled things.

Hell to the No.

Phew. *relieved* Then again, if you of all people were to convert to bandslash I'd be really really worried. /c\

get right with his Mac

HEE! Of COURSE he has a mac. I see you've read BLGs story. ♥ And yesyes, Canadian things, yes please.

I HAVE read BLG's story (so awesome) but I have a more concrete reason for my theroy: he has a Mac because all his webcam photos are backwards, which is a thing that Macs do. :D

But also, because, well . . . he just has one. *tinhat*

No, Callum won't have to play golf all the time. He's got that one movie to shoot. You know, the one with that Dillon guy. *g*

You know, this guy. *points at icon* Only I think he has a bald head now, and I heard he was a singer or something. *shrugs* *winks*

Ah, I think you don't know him. Not your type. I am pretty sure he doesn't even own a bike. Plus, he's kind of... *shrugs* Filthy. Unless he's bald. So, you know, most of the time he's at least one thing or the other.

*runs and runs and runs*

im always surprised/disappointed by how poorly the majority of writers are paid. so many writers whore themselves out for free to try to break into the market and get noticed, professional writers work for what amounts to a few bucks an hour...i know undercutting and fierce competition dont only exist in screenwriting, mind you. wouldnt we all like to be the next paul haggis? i dont know if this strike will ultimately amount to a power shift of any kind, but at least its getting them some attention.

perhaps the new BW would become better if it ceased to exist entirely? *g*

and dammit if Callum gets more free time to golf, i better get my ass over to Vancouver asap and learn to golf! seeing as im unemployed in two weeks i can hang out at golf courses and smoke pits too *eg*

I don't really know much about screen writers, actually. But it does sound like they are treated a bit unfairly, yeah. So, you know, go writers.

And Bionic Woman... *sigh* It's really remarkably bad, isn't it?

i better get my ass over to Vancouver asap and learn to golf!

*scowls* Oh wait. Bring a camera? *g*
