Here goes my Moony entry...

You’d think that since it’s 8:30 on a Monday night and I have a French paper due tomorrow that I would have started it, wouldn’t you? Instead it’s LJ time. I deserve an hour or two off for myself after the craze that the last few weeks (and really this whole semester) have been. I’ve also been putting off updating for a long time (apparently ( Read more... )

Ha, I actually read it! I don't know if this speaks to my dedication to actually read everything you wrote or to my ability to not read my class readings. Umm...yeah.

So I'm glad you're making a good life for yourself in NYC, my darlingface. Umm...I guess that's all I have to say? That internship sounds totally awesome, though! You get to edit things that actually get published! That's actually pretty cool. Next step, getting published! Okay, not really the directly next step from editing scholarly work, but, you know, somewhere maybe on the same ladder?

It is rather interesting to see how everyone's interest and focuses are changing since High School, I hadn't actually really noticed that. I bet it'll be even more interesting as our studies focus more on our majors, that'll be so weird... And won't it be even weirder when we've all finally moved on permanently from this fake world of Academia into the actual real world of, you know, having a life and a career and family/close approximation to family? Such a strange thought.

I love that I can do science for a living if I want, which I think sounds like just about the most fun I could possibly have with my life. If I told my 5-year-old self that this is what I’d be doing in 15 years, I think she would have been ecstatic with that, and that’s the best approval I can ask for.

You are awesome Kacie Rice.

Ahh, I am supposed to be going to bed but this is like my bedtime story! And now I've probably forgotten everything I wanted to comment on, but I'm going to try ( ... )

I read it, too! I miss you a lot. This summer was fun, I wholeheartedly agree. I'm glad you're very happy up in place that's not here. I'm very proud of you and your internship. It's very exciting. I might be going to Australia for an international journalism conference this summer, but it's really expensive, and, therefore, unlikely. We'll see. I need to call you up to talk sometime. But not this week. This week is hell. I'm actually supposed to be studying right now. Oops! Do you know what I miss? Watching Sleepover! with people who actually like it. Amy... doesn't. She hates it, in fact. Isn't that some of the most depressing news ever? At least April loves it, but she and I don't get to hang out as much as we used to with the whole sorority thing now. I'm going to one of the Dynamo post-season games this Sunday with her though. We have really hot seats. I'll tell you how hot it is (and I do mean hot and I don't mean the weather or the seats).
