Jim Fixx, the guy who wrote “The Complete Book of Running” and lectured about how a healthy diet and running would promote longevity dropped dead of a massive coronary while running along a rural state road in Vermont at the ripe old age of 52. Now, I believe that in death, we’re all pretty much on the same footing as we were the day were born. We’re naked, helpless, and in need of someone to take care of us. We all deserve the same amount of respect…and that sometimes includes finding those answers. Irregardless of anything we had...or didn't...in life.

Such a profound statement. I agree.

Maybe I've just watched "It's a Wonderful Life" too many times. Clarence tells George "Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?

I used to think that only the innocent...or the ones who had little or no voice in life deserved to be treated special. No....Everybody even the ones who we don't think deserve it...warrant our best.

Christ, don't tell Macy I'm talking like this. He'll think I've finally become responsible....and I wouldn't want that nasty rumor being spread.
