I just saw "There will be Blood" and thought is was great. Does Daniel Day Lewis's character have syphillis? That's the impression I got, but I'm curious what others thought.

honestly, i've never really even thought of it. i considered him to be a man who has never had any sort of romantic entanglement because he's always just been too concerned with making money.

I got the impression the whole movie that he had some sort of degenerative disease, because his behavior got so erratic. Could just be all the shit he went through though making him crazy, or alcoholism. Or I just have no clue what I'm talking about.

Also, did you watch "The Darjeeling Limited"? I'm sure you saw it before I even knew it existed. It seemed like something you'd like.

i did, opening screening at the Little in Rochester. Drove out just for that. And it was, through Wes Anderson seems to be in the middle of a steady descent since Royal Tenenbaums.
