Ok, I knew it was going to Bush; I KNEW it was going to be Bush, but part of me kept thinking, "Sharpe, Sharpe, Sharpe". My problem is that I have Hornblower, Sharpe, and the "Temeraire" stuff all whirling around in a big Napoleonic mishmosh in my brain. I think I'm going to have to reread everything. Very tasty! It's good to have you back, and writing!
Surely there are Hornblower/Sharpe crossovers somewhere? Please?

Bush, a dope fiend? or is there some good reason why he's carrying opium around in the midlle of the desert?
He'd make a great legionnaire. And it would be just like Horatio to fall for the "glory" of legionnaring (not sure if that is a word but it should be).
To Ann, I came across a Sharpe/Edrington story, I think it was on one_hot_lobster. Plus of course, there's "Shore Leave" a pornish conflagration of all our Navy and Napoleonic favourites, which will be found at the very start of this comm.
