*does the dance of DC squee* It's SUCH a good show! I'm a sucker for gritty, dark and disturbing, and this is all three and then some. Everyone is so horribly flawed and terribly screwed up, and I adore them all. Oh, Pen. The water imagery! The horrible undercurrents (in a completely punnish sense of the word) - you've captured it all so well.

And you may have given me a heart attack with the Bonnie crab crawl clip. When I saw that episode, I wailed and hid my face in a cushion. It was almost as traumatising as Sadako crawling out of the telly. Thanks, Durham County, for gifting me with a lifelong fear of freakin' tarpaulins!

YESSSSSSSS. And the flawed thing--I LOVE that. I love complexity. I love how Pen was such a flawed and disturbed woman and yet was actually a really good therapist for Sadie, because that is way more interesting than her being OMGEVIL.
