Super-quick update

Apr 04, 2007 19:25

Since I'm sure everyone's just dying to know what I'm up to, the answer is not a whole hell of a lot. I wasn't able to get an apartment starting in April, so right now I'm staying in a motel. For the whole month. It's actually not bad, I just find it slightly boring. I do have a lot of TV to watch though (yet ANOTHER reason it's great that I ( Read more... )

I'd probably be enjoying it more if it were a hotel instead of a motel. Hotels are considerably nicer, but this is really all I need right now. Besides, I don't think there's anything better than this in town. ;)

yeah yeah hotel motel.. it doesn't have to be fancy, they have people that do all the cleaning for you! and some kind of food. and even sometimes a pool.

In my case, that boils down to:
  1. Once-a-week room cleanings
  2. 10% off anything I get at the motel restaurant
  3. No pool
It's sufficient though. ;)

ok, at first I thought you were someone else posting, and I was all set to say "What?! you're living in a motel?? what happened to the house you just moved into? aren't you and your boyfriend still together?"

and then I realized who you were. and that none of that is relevant to this situation :P

whoah is there like... a monthly rate or something?

Surprisingly yes. And it's tax free, since I think because if you're there for a whole month it counts as a tenancy or something rather than just renting a room for a couple of nights. It's about the same amount to get the room for four weeks (which is what I'm actually there for, and actually works out better than an entire month) than it is to get it for four five-day times (just the work week, coming home on the weekends). I guess I have to pay tax in the latter case.

Nope, I'm at the Borden Motel. The Tantramar looks nicer though. :/

I sent you a happy bday text message on Tuesday... but it was to your old cell number so I guess it's lost in limbo somewhere... doh!

Yeah, I changed my number on Monday actually. I'm sure I would've appreciated it though!
