Big photos of small things

Today, I thought I'd have a go at some macro photography using a technique that was the subject of an article in the latest Make magazine. The idea is to take a shadowless photo of something small, by placing on on a sheet of (clean) glass, which is supported above the (plain white) background. Photo frames I've played with have been 480×234, which is disappointingly small. I've recently seen a couple slightly bigger than this, but not into those sizes yet. If they're on the way, I'd be happy to start seeing them for sale.

Had another look at the photo frames in Tesco, and they're 800x480 pixels. They had some that were made by Polaroid, the ex-manufacturer of instant film...
