This is great, and just what I wanted to read right now while I'm wondering how X3 is going to handle the cure plotline and whether I'm going to like it or hate it. It's so achingly sad.

Thank you!

Everything I've seen about how the cure plotline is set up in X3 looks good, but I'm still very nervous about how they're going to resolve it.

Oh, God.

I wish I could leave you a review to do this justice, but I can't. I just re-read Astonishing Vol. 1 last night, and I'm glad I did so I could appreciate this more. It's haunting and frightening, and I love it. Just love it. I wish the writers of X3 would do as much justice to the Cure storyline as you have.

Wow.

What I really liked were the subtle touches you added; the Savage Land, the crack about the Avengers (so true, haha), and this:

I would like to walk into a room without checking the corners. I would like to repair to the nearest pub for a collegial beer with that appalling man when we are finished here. I would like to feel that I had more in common with these learned men and women than with the small-minded and willfully ignorant child on that bed.

Such powerful stuff here. I wish I could leave you a more coherent review!!

Hey, thanks!

I don't know why it amuses me so much to think of those CGI documentaries about dinosaurs being filmed live in the Marvel Universe, but it really does.

Like those "Prehistoric Beasts" one?

I love those! Except that Alien Planet one kinda sucked, because those things were dumb looking.Seriously. I laughed at all of them. They looked like strange toys one finds in a cereal box.

I think I missed "Alien Planet." I liked the one about dragons that was narrated by Patrick Stewart, though.

This is quite possibly the most painful fic I've read in a very long time. :( I lost track of how many times my heart just ached for Hank, for the poor little Victor-kid, for the twisted circumstances and rigid mindsets that placed them in that situation to begin with.

Oh, so nicely done. Nicely done indeed.

*memories*

Thank you, and thanks for the rec on your LJ. Hank's reaction to the cure in canon broke my heart, so I'm glad to have been able to convey that.

This is tremendous thing. Thank you.

Sad stories about good intentions are the most heart-breaking.

Thank you, and thanks for the pimping on your LJ. I love how Whedon's take on the X-Men allows for conflicts among people who all have good intentions, but vastly differing ideas about what good is.
