Mom tried to tell me that this year's Doctor Who Christmas special is Tennant's last appearance, but I found enough articles which say he'll do 4 2009 specials before his run is overOne of the problems Russell T. Davies has is casting people for the specials. He doesn't want to infringe on possibilities for Moffat taking over in 2010. I'm hoping ( Read more... )

Donna really grated on me in the beginning,

I saw a lot of hate towards her, but she won me over during her special. When she and the Doctor were going to meet the villain, they rode segways in the tunnels. As annoying as Donna was the first half of the episode, she started cracking up and the Doctor started laughing too. That was what proved to me that she was totally Companion material, she could see the hilarity in even those situations and responded just as the Doctor would. I always liked her after that.

Only 4 specials next year, no new set of episodes :( Oh well, hopefully the year after will be worth the wait. The UK does that with some shows, I think Wire in the Blood sometimes goes years between seasons.
