Started Weeds this weekend. I'm not sure Mary Louise Parker quite deserved the Emmy over Felicity Huffman for Desperate Housewives' first season, though.

Wasn't expecting the half-hour format. The last half-hour show I watched was Sex and the City, although I suppose a half-hour with no commercials is only 13 minutes shorter than the hour dramas ( Read more... )

You must still be in season one -- I find that this show, like most of these short-season premium cable series (Sopranos, Extras, Entourage, etc.) the second season is where the rubber really meets the road. Then it all goes to poop in seasons 3+.

For me, Heylia rules all on that show, at least until Zooey Deschanel shows up.

I just finished the second season, I guess after I wrote this because I didn't know what happened to Peter.

I agree with the second-season getting better; same thing happened with Sex and the City.

Heylia was definitely right, Nancy and Conrad didn't know wtf they were doing and could've really fallen had other people not bailed them out: Peter busting the Armenians, Heylia hiring said Armenians to kill Peter later. Neither Nancy nor Conrad would've had the guts to do anything to extricate themselves.

Guess the new one's starts in July? I need to return your movies, sir.

Yeah, but I don't have your stuff on me so I can't bring it over.

I should be by after work, provided I'm not so completely exhausted I want to just go home for immediate mind-alternation and From Hell reading.

I'd better make money tonight.
