What are the gross earbug thingies in The Wrath of Khan actually called?

I just wrote a lovely and longish post, which was lost when I went to update a userpic. Sometimes LJ will "restore from a saved draft" but didn't this time. Does anyone know, other than saving entries to private each time, how to get LJ to save entries not posted yet? Can't find anything in FAQs either.

I know this is a day late, but my friend Laura told me about a female pirate named Curvy Scurvy done by divalea on LJ, and I looked it up. Cap'n Scurvy comes complete with one wooden nipple and the other covered with an eye patch. Seeing the video and hearing the accompanying music, it's even cooler. Plus, I learned to embed media! Whoo-hoo!
