[Hope you don't mind the approach--still at least 20 feet out mind you--of a tall teenager. Gunshots are quite disturbing to a quiet morning and he got a little curious.
He clears his throat carefully, not keen on startling the woman with the gun.]
Not really the sound I expected to hear in a place like this.
[He's stopped his approach the moment he started talking, and for the sake of caution his hands are a little raised. He's not hiding anything and doesn't want to be shot, miss... He's also not dressed quite as warmly, almost as if he didn't expect to be out here.]
[The sound of someone speaking is enough to distract Ziva, but not enough to faze her--she carefully removes the magazine from her gun and makes sure the safety is on before holstering it and turning to face the speaker.]
Not surprising. Weapons are certainly not common here.
[She raises an eyebrow--you didn't think she'd shoot you, did you?]
[Not especially no. But come on he's pretty much a kid and very not used to weapons...at all. Guns aren't especially high on his list of safe things. Still, by the time she's turned he'll be lowering his hands to his sides.]
I might be worried if they were, Pokemon is a kid's game after all.
[Not that Pokemon aren't potentially dangerous. He'll admit that much. ...at least now the set of his shoulders and tone of his voice have relaxed considerably.]
[GUESS WHO WANTS TO SAY HELLO TO HIS FAVORITE GIRL HUMAN. IN HIS REAL BODY. C:]
[IT'S TOOTHLESS.]
[It took him a little bit to find her, but now the Night Fury is coming ambling along down the road perkily. c: THERE SHE IS! THERE SHE I-- :I what the hell is that noise.]
[The sharp, piercing crack of a gun ringing out is something Toothless has NEVER HEARD BEFORE.]
[She hadn't heard his approach, but she definitely heard his retreat--Ziva quickly and safely puts away her gun before turning to face whoever it was that approached her--
--only to determine that 'whoever' should be equally 'whatever.' Ziva's never seen a real, live dragon that wasn't a Pokemon, and Toothless doesn't quite look like any Pokemon. She'll take an educated guess.]
[...srsly? Well, she knew he was smart, so object permanence must be part of the package. But Ziva's not going to toss her gun idly aside like Hiccup did his knife. Oh no. For one, that is not proper gun safety.
Finding a likely tree branch, just a little out of her normal reach but within reach if she stands on her tiptoes, Ziva removes her holster--with some hesitation, because she wears a shoulder holster and that involves taking off her coat--and loops a strap of it over the tree branch, leaving the gun hanging well away as she steps away from it.]

So I have heard. It was not around when I was young.
[Even if it was, Ziva wasn't much of one for video games.]
My childhood was also somewhat...unconventional.

Toothless? It is alright.
[She holds out her hands--see? Empty.]

[But he sees the box she put that thing into!]
[And it's STILL THERE! WAITING.]
