Adora raised her eyes to the sky and shook her head. With a heavy sigh, she turned on Wyatt and marched herself and the bread dough back inside the house.
"Dor!" he called after her, but she was fast and already inside the cabin.
Letting out a heavy Ancient curse, Wyatt put his sap-covered boot down on the underside of the sap-covered axe blade and tried to pull himself free. He had to remember to move his foot a moment later, before it was stuck, too.
The sap was already hardening in the fresh air and his arm was killing him.
