Just finished reading this on the train which was a mistake....trying not to cry at the end was quite a struggle! It was beautiful in both concept and execution. I loved how Sam gradually realises the Dean that haunts him is not really his Dean and the reunion at the end was all the more moving because of that.

thank you! that's exactly what I was going for. I thought up this scenario of Sam driving around with ghost!Dean and then I thought, but wait, what's the point? And it's that. It's Dean's ghost, but it's not all of him. So glad you enjoyed it :)
