Is it really a good idea to allow an Inmate to stock the infirmary with potentially fatal potions? I mean, I know I'm not on staff there, but it seems a bit irresponsible to trust this man at face value, when he could poison the lot of us or-- worse yet-- let those ingredients fall into the wrong hands. I know a teenage wizard may ( Read more... )

I've already talked to T'Pol about the matter, we're going to examine these 'potions' before deciding whether to keep it at hand. I don't trust this 'magic' much as it is.

And for that matter what the hell are you going on about?

Given the sorts of 'magic' we've encountered here, I don't blame you.

Um, just a-- book I read.

Well we'll see. I can assure you nothing that raises the least bit of suspicion will get into the supplies.

And what does a book- lord, you're telling me he's another one of those whose life is entertainment for the rest of you?

That's a relief, thanks.

...sort of, yeah. I mean... I'm sure they're not 100% factually accurate...

Do we even have any magicians here?

So why the trust for him? He killed the greatest wizard there ever was!

...we've... got Merlin here? God, this place is insane.

I don't know if the two are comparable, really. Two very different circumstances there.

What, with a beard and hat and all that?

How long was he here? I thought we couldn't die!

Wait, hang on. He killed Dumbledore? What?! When...how...?

Sorry. I didn't read past the second book. Where I'm from they've already made the seventh movie, but I damn sure haven't been able to watch it.

Er, in the last book? I mean, the last one I read. It was sort of a... big shock.

Sorry about the spoilers.

Well that'd certainly explain why he's here, I suppose. He seems so... well, I can't say pleasant, he sure as hell ain't that. But, I mean, not the sort to murder.

It's alright. How many books are there anyway?

warden filter bythe_books October 4 2009, 02:53:51 UTC
Yeah, it was the big twist of that one. I've got to admit, I didn't think of him as a murderer, either.

There were six out when I... left home. I reckon there's supposed to be seven, total.

Dumbledore ordered Snape to kill him. It's a long story.

Like I said to Severus: I'm willing to serve as a test subject for any remedy he might create.

What? When?

Is that really a good idea?

He was doomed to die from the moment he put on the ring and it withered his hand. If he let Snape kill him instead of dying slowly, it would "prove" to the Death Eaters that Snape was loyal. He could then try to take them down from the inside. Besides, Draco had been ordered to kill him and Dumbledore didn't want Draco to be a murderer, and splinter his soul the way Voldemort did. The two of them had it planned all through Harry's sixth year.

If there's even a small possibility that doing so will help those in need of care, I'm going to do it.

And if there's the smallest possibility it will hurt you absolutely not. This is a sick bay, not a damned mad scientist's laboratory.
