I wonder too - they actually spent ages like this, and I vacillated wondering if it was an affectionate thing or a competition thing. Then I noticed their markings compared to the other cows wandering by, and I wondered if maybe they were actually family and had recognised each other. *g*
I like the sunflowers-in-rain photo very much, it's just the mood today - beautiful and a little melancholy with stubborn brightness, really lovely! (just had a shower of rain here too, which saved me the bother of watering any plants *g*)

And yeay for rain saving watering plants! I think I need to do more watering myself next year. Trouble is, since the cows have been drinking up my rain butt, I only have my kitchen sink to fill a watering can from. I think I need a new (proper) rain butt...!
