100 Days of Happiness 2020 - Day 91 - Sunday

Apr 27, 2020 00:47

Today was another funny day, but mostly because it was the flip to yesterday, when I got loads done. Today I got little bits of stuff done, lost big bits of stuff I'd spent hours doing when I should have been doing other things, but at least mostly got my bedroom back to rights. There's still lots of bits floating around that need new homes cos of ( Read more... )

Lovely pictures, especially the sunset.

Time off is always a happy thing to look forward to, so enjoy!

I envy your reading in a garden. I suppose I could go read by the river, but there are always other folks about, really, and that would be intrusive. A balcony would be nice, though!

Yay for a month of on and off holidays! It sounds like you need a break, so definitely have it, despite the weird circumstances. I'm torn between taking a day off and, well, the realization that not much would change, especially as I'd likely at least check work email.

I hope you have a lovely day!

The garden here is the reason that I'm not looking forward to moving - I can't imagine I'll find as nice a garden space again...) Reading on a balcony would be lovely! Are you still thinking about buying another place (when we all have the chance to do that sort of thing again), or did you decide to stay where you are in the end? It was yonks ago that you were talking about it, so I'm guessing maybe the latter!

I really really could use a nice long break - and it's so nice to have another 3-day weekend to look forward to this week! I've had to work really hard not to reply to work emails on my days off, even when they send me documents due the day I get back. In theory I could look at them and have to decide to return them rather than proofread them, but I figure that's the company's issue for sending them to me on my days off... You should have a day off though - and make sure that it's differentiated from other days by not checking your work!! *g*

Heh. I am pretty much incapable of not checking my work! But, having said that, I can be highly selective about what I answer. To be fair my Director just shared an editorial with us that basically says we should not be expecting we can work our usual hours, or have our usual productivity, during these times. So, she does want us to go easy on ourselves. Of course, this came on a day when I had four Zoom conference sessions to attend, and work meetings in between them, and my supervisor calling me during one of the conference sessions, and...yeah.

I did decide to stay in my apartment for now. I just can't find anything I can both afford and like. But...there is a chance I'll end up living with my niece in a year or two. We'd be fine together, and could both live more cheaply, and she really needs to own a place in order to do the fostering of cats (and maybe dogs) that she rally wants to do. So...maybe!

Do you get a 3-day weekend this week? Yay! Enjoy!

Not sure how much reading I'd get done in a garden as lovely as that. I think I'd be too busy looking at the scenery!

Love your pictures, as always!

It is quite distracting, I have to say - I keep looking up to listen to the birds and all sorts... *g*

And thank you! *g*
