The wet pavement in combination with the Christmas lights does look rather nice!
What book are you reading in the bookgroup?
And how nice that you can just walk home!

We just read a very light one - The Beekeepers Daughter by Santa Montefiore. It was easy to read, but the characters were a bit stereotyped for my liking - the good guys were all attractive, and the bad guys all had something obviously ugly about them, that kind of thing. Next though is Mothering Sunday by Graham Swift, which I expect will be a bit more substantial!

Soooo nice to be able to walk home! *g*

Rain can look good in words, too. I remember taking a girl that I was tutoring in English out into a dark rainy city night, and driving around to show her the way the streets looked when you were thinking about describing them, so that she could think about the way the light shone and moved so differently. It worked too - she went from an E to a B grade when she took her exam next time! *g*

Oh, I haven't seen anything like these streets here this year ... that rather brings back memories! *g* It does look magical, doesn't it!

It's quite an old village, and rather picturesque in a stony kind of way - Christmas looks rather good on it! *g*

There is something about the way the rain looks on the streets that's really magical, and the Christmas lights just add to it.
