It looks like all the calm, peace and tranquillity in the world is in NZ right now. Still waters, clear skies and a world in a grain of sand - damn, wish I were there! :-s
Hello! You just caught me before I was about to switch off for the night! It's definitely not calm and peaceful here right now - it's middle-of-the-city and YHA-noisy. Well, not YHA-noisy exactly, but people talking in the corridor outside the room and so on...
This morning though - oh bliss, yes, some tranquility. I'm trying not to think of what will wait for me when I get back. In the most desperate situation, I did hear today that English teachers were always needed here!
Oh no, it was only my last day in Auckland! Today I collect a car and drive up to the northlands for three days. *g* I think it'll be touristy, but I'm looking forward to being out of the city again.
I have completely lost track, given the chaos that is the start of the semester: you'll still be New Zealand for a while, yes? "Last day in Aukland" is just that you're moving on? I'd hate to think I missed all of New Zealand! *g* (Although it feels like it; the whole month of September was a blur.) Beautiful views! Definitely worth trek back. Thank you!
Yes, I'm still in New Zealand for a while - another month or so, in fact. I'm heading up to the "Northlands" now, which I'm looking forward to, and then doing a road trip to hit the highlights of the rest of the north half of the south island (...!?!) before I fly down to Wellington (in the south of the north island *g*) and meet an old Pros-y friend. Then we'll get the ferry to the north of the south island (*vbg*) and I'll stay with her for a while, then explore some south of the south island... So hopefully lots of views to come!
And wow that it's the start of semester again already - I mean I know it is, and I've seen Christmas trees already, but... October! Hope it turns out to be a good one for you.
