366 Photos - 324 - Beachy (with added Pros)

Nov 20, 2016 00:09

The forecast was for rain and rain and rain - except for maybe half a dozen hours today, and so I decided I'd better take myself to the beach or else I'd not get there for aaages. So I did. And it was less blowy than I might have liked, but it was lovely and grey and fresh and the rain mostly held off until I got back to the car. Half an hour later ( Read more... )

Yes! It was lovely and fab, even if it was only short with the rain!

The Galaxy is a long way, but our lads will be there waiting for you - you definitely need to watch Pros again! Well, everyone does... *vbg*

Yeay your sewing (and humph lj being glitchy - there seems to be something going on again, cos a few people've had things happen. Come to think of it, I did the other day, and put it down to their new "like" feature (which I still can't see,,,)

*sigh* The ability to go for a random walk on the beach is missing in my life. But pics are a good substitute, so thank you, they're lovely!

It's very soggy here after a wild and windy night - lots of wet leaves and drizzle in the air. I quite like it. Currently sitting in a coffee shop with my book, my lappie and the papers. I may be here some time.

Random walks on the beach are lovely - though it does take me rather a while to get there. Usually longer than the walk itself (well, when there's rain coming on anyway!) But yeay beach-y pics!

The ability to just go and sit in a coffee shop with my book my lappie and the papers is largely missing in my life - at least without a long drive to get there first too. I knew when I was six and we had a class debate about whether it was better to live in the city or the country that the correct answer was (in many ways) the city! I admit to having finally caved to the country though, leaving my best friend to be the lone final stand for the city - but only cos the bell had gone, and it was playtime, and I could tell that Mr F. wasn't going to let us go until he'd won!

Wet leaves and drizzle in the air - lovely! *g*

I'm glad you got your trip to the seaside in. I expect the weather deterred the hordes, which must have been nice for the photo-taking.
I hope the weather improves so you can still attend the quilting session.

Yay! from Pros-y things! I've been re-watching LC in Jack the Ripper. Not Pros, admittedly, but Mr C is lovely as Sgt Godley. :-)
I've also been busy with Paint Shop Pro doing something Christmas-elf-y that is canon-era and not AU. *Iz well-content old dog with new trick*
Ooooh, and I've got the Poldark Season 2 DVDs now, so I'm feeling the need to revisit Poldark-era!AU Bodie and Doyle now, but I also want to read more Larton.
So much lovely stuff to do, so little time! *vbg*

Yeay for Pros-y things! I watched some more today, which was nice. And yeay for almost-Pros-y things, too! *g* I keep meaning to rewatch Hound of the Baskervilles too, cos its been years, and I haven't forgotten gvenanne's fab story-clips that need stories written for them... I just couldn't remember Sir Arthur well enough!

to revisit Poldark-era!AU Bodie and Doyle now
You've visited them before? Did I miss this?! And Larton! And I'm intrigued by your new trick, and hope I get to see it! *g*

I've never seen that MS version of Hound of the Baskervilles so I really should add it to the list of Things I Don't Have Time For Currently. I love Gvenanne's idea for a crossover!

Yes, I visited Poldark-era!AU Bodie and Doyle when the first series of the new Poldark aired on TV, and the pics I made are on AO3 here and here

HotB is a bit of a weird one, for me - it's lovely to see our MS in it, but it's odd to hear him sound very not-Doyle (and American!), and it's even odder that we don't hear him sound American, because they dubbed someone else's voice over him - ack!

Also - *swoons*! Is there anything I can say that will convince you to post your artwork to your own livejournal (or a comm!) as well as to A03, so that we have your lovely Pros-iness appearing in our flists to comment to? Cos I know there will be other people on my Pros flist who've not seen those pics, and everyone should be seeing your AU lads pics! Windswept Doyle... I'll just be off over here swooning a bit more... *g*

Sounds like a Pros Marathon! Haven't treated myself to one of those in awhile. I must make the time. *g*

The beach looks lovely, though a bit stormy. The fourth picture, especially, looks ominous.

I've not managed more than two at a time, but it's been nice watching them in order again. Except that I got to Foxhole on the Roof today, which I may like less than The Gun (and only a bit more than Close Quarters... But the next one will be either Ojuka or Operation Susie, so that'll be better again. *g*

The beach was both lovely and ominous - the rain was really moving in, though that gorgeous dark line on the horizon had been there for a while - I caught a glimpse of it as I drove closer. So nice to be at the beach, though - I wish I lived closer!

Oh, I envy you. I stayed at home because it was raining all the day and we had storm. And I have catched a cold so I didn't feel to well. :-(

But I was playing around with some pictures. This is one of the results.

Oh no - I'm sorry you've got a cold, they're horrid - hope you feel better soon! On the other hand, I rather like that you had time to play with pictures - the one of Bodie is fab! (And the one you posted at Safehouse too... *g*)

We had a dry-ish day after a blustery rainy night, but the rain's back again here....
