Somehow October is already over, the stars were out last night at 6.30pm, and it's November... What's been happening...? Where is the world up to? ( A bit of a ramble... )
No idea what NaNoWriMo is, but I'd be happy to be filtered in. Can't promise to be overly constructive. I get stupidly tired and have sooo many other things I'm supposed to be fitting it. (Including my own very first go at a challenge!) Remember Brian Clemens' mantra - apply bum to seat, fingers to typewriter (I may be paraphrasing, but not much).
I'm useless after work most nights. It takes everything I have just to be in work. But at least I'm not wiped out all weekend too now. Every day - better and better. Someone said I was ill a long time - can't expect to get well all at once. But I'm impatient now I'm starting to feel better. Bought myself loads of fruit, in the hope that will work like internal sunshine when ours is missing. And, despite some rotten anniversaries, this is still my favourite time of year.
Impressive book binding - and London Illustrated, fascinating :0)

NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month (national being the US where it began, but it's very much international now) - write a 50,000 word novel in a month. *g* I've done it a few times (two of which were Pros stories *g*) and its good fun, but I don't think I've got the energy to commit to it this year, and I'd hate to not finish, so.... I shall do my own. *g*
I've added you to the filter - but please feel free not to try and be overly constructive, cos I'm not looking for that at this stage! Line edits and deep comments much later (I'll shout out *g*), for now just general impressions and things that snag your attention are fine - and feel free just to say "Okay, I read it..." and leave it at that, and to back off entirely at any point!
And yes! Seeds and nuts in a frying pan with sea salt and/or pepper, and/or various yummy things are excellent. *g* Not done those for ages actually, thanks for the reminder! It's much more cost-efficient and all if you make your own rather than buying Graze, but my trouble is that I don't make

Your fall pictures are gorgeous, but even they can't cheer me up right now. My dad is in hospital with a broken hip and will have surgery in a few hours. We dearly hope, it will go well, and he'll be able to recover.
Aw, thank you! *g* And yeah, I did enjoy the archery itself, its just (as ever!) all the people-politics-y things that went with it! There was so much I've-just-bought-this-kit, and falling over everyone's turbo-charged archery-cannons behind the line, and fussing about club shirts that were never going to be big and cotton-y and inexpensive enough for me to want to wear, and mostly that no one I asked could give me hints on improving my technique (such as it was!) and so my aim... I'll keep my eyes open for another club or something to try, perhaps - I must do, I bought a quiver! *g*
And eeh, hang onto the idea of being chuffed until after you've read anything - it may not work at all, as writing-that-people-might-want-to-read! But thank you - that's a lovely thought for me to try and live up to! *g*
The water biscuits didn't look like Carr's or anything like that, but they didn't look too differently from my favourite Godminster ones, and they were even better the day after making them. Hmmn... *tries one*... okay, perhaps slightly less crisp on the third day (well, perhaps second and a half really, cos I made them in the evening), but that's biscuits for you, and they're still perfectly edible... I'll definitely make them again! The recipe was this one from the BBC if you fancy having a go... the greaseproof paper was important - I tried it with a silicon base, but they didn't come out crispy, and I had to pop them back in on the plain tray (which worked, and they came out well).
The crackers turned out so well, I'm dead chuffed with them! *g* And the book too - it's not perfect, I can see a wee gap against the leather spine at the top, and other bits, but it makes me happy for a first attempt! *g*

50,000 word novel in a month - yikes!
Glad not overly constructive is fine. Okay, I read it... sounds much more my speed!

Water biscuits are my favourite to have with cheese so I'm fascinated that you made some and that they were fairly straightforward. They look yummy!
