Wow! So many beautiful photographs of beautiful places! They don't even need snow to be beautiful at this time of year) Such a wonderful colors on your walk, really I'm glad there is no snow so I can see all of them))
And you did wonderful job with your place! With all the books and boxes and a violin and this fabulous trunk! A place full of impressions and interesting to examine and homey at once) Nice place to be. Hope you'll catch up with your plans during holidays ;)

And I thought too your bath looked like Jupiter or something *g*

Winter really has its own beauty, doesn't it, snow or no snow! (That said, I'm a bit jealous that other parts of England had snow last night, and we just had lots of wind and rain... *sighs sadly*)

And thank you! It all looks better from far away in photos than it does close up, and I know where all the messy bits still are, but it's getting there! It's just so nice to have everything out, and where I can pick it up if I want to!

Yes! My bath did look like another planet! That's exactly what I thought - I loved it! *g*

What beautiful photos of Anglesey Abbey - absolutely lovely! Are the cherry family closely related to birch, then??? The bark does look similar. Silviculturist required! *g*

And as for the bath bomb photos ... wow! How could you bear to get out? I think I would stay in for hours, just topping up on the hot water a bit from time to time *g* I do wonder, though, about things like bath bombs - don't you feel as if you still have stuff on your skin afterwards, or do you always finish off with a quick shower? I would have imagined that they might leave you feeling a bit soapy otherwise? But oh what beautiful patterns and swirls and sparkles ... makes me wish I could have clothes scarves! silk scarves that look like that, that's what I want! *g*

Your place is looking so perfect and cosy, and how wonderful to be able to sort your stuff and have shelves for (most of) it at last!

It doesn't look like the Tibetan Cherry is related to the birch, though it's also called the birch-bark tree, according to RHS... I don't know, I'm not especially good on plants - I just know I like it! *g*

And hee - it was a fun bath! It was more how I could bear to get in though, cos it did all that fizzing first up! I tend to finish off with a shower afterwards anyway, though I think the point of them is that they're moisturising and/or glittering on purpose - not soapy though. And yes! I would love clothes made out of fabric that looked like that! *g*

It's so nice to be able to get things out if I want to - hurrah for a home! *g*

Your Christmas home looks lovely - festive and cosy. I'm sorry about the face-ache. Hope it gets better soon. I'm pretty sure I've been to Barrington Court. NT is awesome at this time of year, although I think when I was there it was the height of summer.

Thank you! Face-ache is gradually kind of getting better - well, it's not as killer any more!

I was so chuffed that more NT places were open over Christmas/winter, and I had plans to visit all the ones I could around here, only I'd rather over-estimated my time with everything else happening, so it was just Barrington Court in the end. Which was lovely!

We were members of NT a couple of years back but I didn't renew the membership because so many places are closed in winter. It's nice to hear that they are opening more over Christmas. I love NT places over Christmas. There's that place in Cornwall (Cotehele, I think) with the garlands that many people consider to be the start of Christmas when they are raised.

Oh, happy pictures, and busy times, and your place looks so cosy!

Too bad about the aches, I cross my fingers that it'll go away very soon!
Thanks so much for sharing all these beautiful pics!

I hate bathing, I have no patience for it, even with a book and music and stuff. Taking a shower, be done, do something else, that's my way.

I'm usually a take-a-shower girl (I'd rather live without a bath than without a shower) but just sometimes it's kind of nice to soak in deep hot water! Especially if it smells nice... *g*

There were definitely happy and busy times - but my place currently has books all over the floor as I try to work out what order to put them in on my shelves so that I can find things! I think it'll have to be the Dewey decimal system, sort of, cos that's what I grew up with, so I'd sort of know where everything logically went... but in the mean time it's not so cosy right now! Maybe if I take my hot water bottle to bed now... *g*

Your new nest looks absolutely gorgeous, all books and wood and comfy sofas... just perfect.

I'm sorry you've got face/mouth ache - I hope it goes away on its own because that's so miserable... fingers crossed you're okay.

My face-ache is intermittent, but getting more intermittent - lousy timing for Christmas day though. Hey-ho! Now if I can just put away the books I've scattered over every surface whilst I try to work out what order they go in, I might get back to a cosy gorgeous perfect place.... *g*
