Touch wood, lappie turned on and Norton's up and running without any problems this morning - oh the relief! Maybe there was fluff or something on summat important and it's tipped off now *she says very helpfully*
It's too bad about Norton. I gave up on them years ago, constant hassle.
But you might find this handy if you have to get rid of Norton, which tends to leave bits of itself all over the place with a regular uninstall: it worked in the past when I was dumping it.
And I'm old enough to remember the original DOS utilities, back in the days when we said "Peter Norton is God"... *sigh* - I wonder whatever happened to him.
But I hope you're having a great time, aside from the lappy!!
Thank you! And it is Windows, but everything seems to be okay this morning... I've heard that Norton can be a pain for uninstalling, so I was all ready for a battle and installing AVG while I see how it goes, but... cross fingers it seems to be all good this morning!
And yeah - other than that, it's ace so far... Did I mention we went to see MS last night? *g*
Oh bum - and just as I typed that, Norton went again after all... I wonder if they've had a dodgy update...
