So, was chatting with inamac over at ci5hq about Pros and Pros fandom history (just a wee bit... *g*) and for various reasons I wandered over to the OTP's Fanlore page for Pros, and was reminded yet again of why I try to avoid it... I'm not sure how many people have contributed to it (two at least, I can see that) but... it's so American-based! And so ( Read more... )

It is funny to think that it wasn't all that long ago that we barely had computers, never mind the internet or iphones and kindles and all the other amazing gadgetry we've got... (Now they just need to get a move on with this space travel thing - times a-ticking here! *g*)

It does sound like a wonderful time too, all these new ideas and ways of doing things... I'll add them up above, and do tell me if you think I misinterpret/misinclude something! And thank you again, and please do thank Debbie for me as well!

Oh - and just because you've not specified, though know really that it was - this was a USA-organised thing, from the US Paper Circuit, right? Debbie's based in Ca., or am I making that up?!

Just to clarify: I started helping with Proslib around 2001 (don't recall precisely) - a year or so after the Yahoo gropup started. Sorry for the unclear phrasing.
