The Great ProsWatch - Lawson's Last Stand

Feb 01, 2009 22:26

You know, I don't watch this one very often... let's see if there's a reason why... *g*

Lawson... spooky figure in a top window, watching him depart... Hee - I love how the first place the doctor looks for Lawson is in the cupboard! *g*

Yeay Pros! )

great pros watch

Yes, not enough of the lads' story--but that does leave us lots of room for writing one! *g* Plus...well, I just love the scenes between them in this one. In the car, watching Lawson, at HQ with all the tea, and especially that wonderfully intense conversation between them as they plan to take down Lawson. The rest of the world disappears for them, really. I love that.

Thank you for the photos! I'm stuck at work, so this is the closest I can get to the episode tonight!

There is lots of room for writing the lads' story, isn't there! I'm quite inspired to write a whole extended version of the ep right now, although... so many other fics going on! Maybe later! *g*

And yes! I love that last bit, where Cowley's standing right there with them, but so obviously not even close to being a part of their world... it's just them. *sighs happily*

It's hard to say what I like about this episode. It's not awful or anything, there's just something not quite interesting with it maybe. *shrug*

I do like how the lads are together. I especially like the scene when they're watching the manoeuvres through the binoculars (they look fabulous!) and the one when they plan on taking out the canister. But I agree, it's rather a bit slow and way too much time on Lawson. I'm greedy aren't I? I expect the story to be about Bodie and Doyle.

Yeah, it should be interesting, cos it's a great plot, and there should be lots of urgency and panic and energy (like in Stakeout), but it's just not there...

And lol - I'm greedy too, I want more of the lads as well! *g*

Yep, not enough lads but I like this episode. I like it because the nutter/villain in this case as least has a reason for what he's doing that I can fully agree with even if I don't admire his tactics... *watches BSL back away slowly*

And when the lads are together there are some lovely moments. *g*

Actually that's exactly one of the things that I love about Pros - when we see idealistic "villains" as the lads' opponents, it's always made clear that maybe there's actually nothing wrong with their idealism, it's just their methods... Life is grey like that, rarely as black and white as it's portrayed in Hollywood and the like. So I can absolutely sympathise with Lawson - and with the lads when they both understand why he's done as he's done, but know they have to stop the consequences anyway... No wonder they're both looking a bit worn in this one... *g*

Because Lawson is so wonderfully looney and well played, I don't mind so much how lads-lite this one is. And we do get some giggling together and nice looks, bits in the car, etc. But yeah, not nearly enough to make it a satisfying ep. Thnaks for the recap and pics - you are helping me feel like I'm kind of watching..*g*

Lawson is a good villain, its just that I really do like seeing the way the lads work their way through the villainy usually, and we don't seem to get much of that this ep...

Yeay for feeling kind of like you're watching! You'll just have to enjoy your holiday as a kind of make-up for it all... *g*

Not really sure how I feel about this one, but you are right, it isn't really about them.
Oh! and I hadn't read those stories, so please excuse me. Cheers! *toddles off*

It's an odd one, isn't it... Not unenjoyable in and of itself, but if it's the lads you like best of all, then...

Hope you enjoy the fics, they're both good, and HG's is lovely and long too! *g*
