I love that this isn't a point a to point b linear story - but snapshots through meals about the life Jun has overseas and the people he meets who are the same people we know, but in different circumstances.
This story was really lovely and probably made me gain five pounds. :)

That's basically what I set out to convey in this story; you've encapsulated it so much better than I could. :) Thank you so much for reading and for leaving such a lovely comment!

:) I have this obsession with lemon cake as well, and okonomiyaki - actually all of the food hear is food I really want to eat whenevever I feel low. I'm away from home right now (and was when I wrote this), so I'm really glad you understand that mix of feelings too! :) Thank you so much for reading and for this comment.

Though really, this fic made me very happy. I tend to associate people with the meals I ate with them (a really weird habit, but...), and I loved how each of these memories are important to Jun, and are enhanced because of the good food. The tone is just mellow enough, not overtly sad even when Jun is homesick.
Also, how does Matsuken fit so seamlessly with Arashi? He didn't feel out of place at all, which is a bonus. :D

I think it's interesting that you do that! I think I might, too, to a certain extent. But anyway - I'm really glad that you enjoyed this, and that the tone worked for you! Matsuken was such a pleasure to write, so I'm really happy you found that he fit right in. :) Thank you so much for reading and for leaving such a lovely comment!

I love, love your descriptions, from the food to the characters, from the surroundings to their feelings. You pay so much attention to detail that it's so easy to picture it and makes it more enjoyable to read.
I especially want to try all the food you mentioned here. Sadly I live in a city where they don't have these kinds of food readily available. But someday, I will get to try these! I WILL!!!!!
And definitely, I adore how they all got to know each other and saved each other from homesickness! Nino always has the best lines! :)
Thank you so, so much for this. No need to apologize, I totally understand. I'm just ecstatic to get a fic from you! <3 I love it, thank you again!

I'm very happy to hear that the descriptions and everything worked for you. D: Though I'm sorry to hear that these aren't readily available! Where I am right now, it's still possible to find great Asian food, but the prices are a lot higher. If ever do get a chance I'm sure you'll seize it.
Thank you so much for requesting and donating - I'm really pleased that it made you happy! ♥

So yeah, thank you (meant not sarcastically!), for writing such a nice story ^^ it was interesting to see how they all meet and what they`re doing there (wherever "there" is), and oh god the food. I`m kind of craving kimchi jjigae now.
will there be more to this AU? I want to know where they are and what happens - although this way it`s kind of perfect as well, but I always want to know everything XD

I'm glad you enjoyed this, and the descriptions of the food! The city I wrote about at the beginning was London, actually, which is also where all this food can be found (though some details are a bit exaggerated; locations, I mean - the food is really that good, especially when homesick). But I kind of wanted to make it less specifc, so I took out all the details explicitly pointing to London. :) Kimchi jjigae has become my new comfort food in winter. Mmm.
I don't know if I'm writing more in the near future; this gave me and my betas serious hunger pangs while writing. :) But you never know!
Thank you so much for reading and commenting! ♥
