My tomato plant

Well I have two tomatoes on the vine but they are about the size of baseballs maybe even smaller actually ( Read more... )

green tomatos can sit on the vine for a month or two before turning red, just depending on the variety. just because you have a little flower doesnt mean its going to turn into a fruit. i'd say if you have a 20 to 1 flower to fruit ratio your doing pretty good. as far as water goes check about an inch down in the dirt. if that is dry you need to water it. if it looks like its wilting you need to water it. if it starts turning yellow or brown you need to firtilize it.

if you want to really spend some time playing with it, get a feather and try polinateing the flowers by hand (i've never done this) i'm sure google can tell you how.

i've heard of people taking a bottle and fermenting sugar in it and then running hoses to key areas on the plant to make sure its getting plenty of co2 (fermenting sugar produces co2 for a pretty good while and i would imagine the plant would like it)

Thanks. My father used to put a ring of epsom salt around his plants when he planted them but I didn't and don't have any so....
