So I've been thinking about organizing my musical opinions into a separate blog and I decided to test drive the format I'm thinking of on the latest album that I have had a chance to hear. Thanks mom for getting this for me!

I disagree about Saul Williams voice. I love the quality of it. His words can be harsh, no question, but his voice is lovely in both spoken word form and singing. Almost always, though, his angry words are paired with hard music that brings the emotion into sharp focus. That can be hard to listen to if you aren't ready for it or open to it in the first place.

well, it's not like I don't like his voice now... but it was hard to get used to the sharp pangs in "list of demands" among other songs from his past.

he has a good voice; but it's like I said, it's not melodic but it is beautiful.
