Habla Japanese?

My newest writing project has a lot of Japanese culture in it.  I need an online source that translates English into Japanese, but not Kanji.  I need like Blue Dragon = Soryu.  Tried Babblefish but it translates into Japanese Kanji.  Ideas?

Ideas? If it were my book, I would change the Japanese culture thing.

But then I've gotten pretty lazy in the research department lately after taking on a gargantuan task researching my last book. Now I want all my stories and characters to take place in my backyard where I can work them from my chair.

This one's actually going to be pretty easy once I get a basic translator. It's scifi so I can wing it for most of the actual culture. However, since Japan is supposed to be dominant in this future world, ship names, world names names etc would be mostly in japanese. For some ship names I can cheat and use WWII ship names but I don't want to do that for everything. And for plot reasons one particular ship has to have a particular English translation.

Funny, huh? A guy who can hardly turn on his computer writing sci-fi.

I have a translator on iGoogle that works pretty well, but I'm not sure if it's Kanji or not. Check it out and see. It's under the components to add to your iGoogle page.
