Today, I met His Grace Duncan in the finals of a major tournament (where have we heard this story before?).  I won Kingdom Champion in the 5th round of five, and people congratulated me on "defeating my nemesis".  I found that very odd.  I have never considered Duncan my nemesis.  He's just a good fighter whom I happen to run into in the finals of

Perhaps your nemesises (can that be the pluralization?) are your injured shoulders.

No, I'm afraid it can't. nemesis; nemeses

And the shoulders are doing great! They've handed the torch over to my back -- I herniated a disc after Blackstone Raids, and this was my first event back from that injury.

I agree that it's weird to think of Duke Duncan as your nemesis. He's just this opponent you keep running into... not the only one and not a special one.
