i grew up below the poverty line in the united states.  it was comfy.  sometimes the phone got shut off, but at least we had a phone to shut off.  and always food rotting in the refrigerator and always movies and dinners out and plenty of money from church to send me to a school in which jesus was the priority, but damn, education high on the list
