Molly sat and sipped her tea as she watched the sun come up over the back garden. She had been getting up earlier and earlier since the Battle for Hogwarts. It was hard to sleep without Arthur snoring beside her and sometimes her thoughts ran away with her. She often mused how she hadn't wanted any of her children to fight and it really turned out to be the children that made the most impact in the Battle of Hogwarts. She'd spent days trying to determine what she could have done during the final battle differently. Why wasn't she aware of just how much danger Fred was in?

She'd spent the day before Harry's birthday going through box after box in the attic, looking through baby clothes for Teddy, and each piece of clothing held a special memory. All the Weasley sweaters she'd knitted with the twins were babies, all the jumpers, and the stocking caps she'd made for Ron. She'd stood in the attic, the dust motes tickling her nose, and she'd had herself a good old fashion cry. She'd clutched Fred's old baby clothes to her chest and if she closed her eyes she could almost smell his fresh baby scent after a bath.

Molly waved her wand and summoned the tea pot to pour herself another mug full. She stared at the dark liquid for several moments before adding a bit of cream and sugar to the steaming brew. Her gaze wander around the kitchen and fell on her clock. It was the oldest thing she owned, it had been passed down from generation to generation, and the spoons were always changing as the years passed. Her eyes fell on Fred's spoon, trapped at mortal peril, and she bit back a sob that threatened to break free.

One tear free day this month and that was on Harry's birthday. Her mind had been busy right up until she sat with Andromeda and Arthur in the garden. Molly ran a hand over her curls and sighed heavily--the party had been missing something and that something was the twins' antics. She had sent an Owl to George but so far had not received a response back.

She stared at the clock and wondered how much longer Arthur would be at work and if she would ever be able to let him remove Fred's hand from the clock.

Molly sipped her tea and listened carefully for sounds of movement in the house. It was just after dawn and while Ron liked to sleep all day Charlie often got up to help her with breakfast. She wiped the tears from her cheek and smile slightly at the memory of Harry and Ginny sneaking off at the party to steal a bit of time alone. They were quickly followed by Ron and Hermione who she found sitting by the pond about half past midnight. The situation bore watching of course but for now she was content to let them all rediscover each other without the threat of Voldemort.

Molly had noticed a great many things the night of Harry's birthday. She'd noticed the way Fleur had taken Teddy into her heart and played with him for most of the night. She'd noticed her three oldest boys talking and laughing. She was so grateful to have Percy home again that it felt as if a part of her that had been missing was returned to her.

Most of all she'd notice the two who were not there and longed for them.
