After an eventful morning and his little meeting with Percy at the Leaky, Charlie had grabbed his broom and flown aimlessly for a while in an attempt to calm down a little. When it didn't work, he had retreated to his new headquarters - George's flat, where he was currently staying. There, he had spent the past hours brooding, cursing the Ministry, cursing Percy, and cursing just about everything on earth (except dragons, perhaps). George was not due to come back before another hour or so, and when Charlie had heard knocking, he had thought that it was either one of his siblings, or Verity, or perhaps some friend of George coming to visit. He had not expected it to be a rather angry-looking woman - especially one who looked like she was looking for him, not for his brother ( ... )

The mention of Percy, though, made him suspect that it was related to the Damn.Stupid.Ministry. And if it was so, he was not even going to try to be polite.
"And why the heck would I let you in? I don't know who you are, or what that business you mention is. You talked about my brothers, for all I know you could be a Weasley stalker." Which, he realized as he said it aloud, sounded both very unlikely and rather stupid. But who cared.

Patricia gaped at him for a moment, wondering how on earth the Ministry could justify hiring someone so unpleasant. Anger surged within her, and Patricia shoved her foot between the door and the frame, stilting Charles's attempt to shut the door. "Believe me when I say I am not a stalker, nor am I the kind of girl your brother was probably talking about. And this was the address you provided to personnel. My name is Patricia Stimpson," she said, using her free hand to push open the door. Charles stared at her, appalled, but she didn't care. If he was going to be a brute, she wasn't going to go out of her way to be polite. "I work for the Department of International Magical Cooperation," Patricia continued importantly. "Amos Coleman handed me a task to give to you, and since you decided to completely ignore my request for a short meeting, I had to find you here. This ( ... )

"Is this some kind of joke?" It was the first thing he was able to say. "Because," he continued, opening with full force (and Charlie's physical strength was quite impressive) the door the woman was still struggling to open, "if it is, it's really, really not funny. I don't know what made you think I'd do your stupid work, but you should have tried another person entirely!"
He was angry beyond repair by now, his heavily freckled skin crimson red, and this vixen was not about to help him calm down. "You mentioned Percy. Is this his idea? Sending a chick?"
